One of Michigan's northernmost cities, Ishpeming is situated within the Upper Peninsula of norhtern Michigan. Days spent boating and fishing on Lake Superior are always nice, as are ATV riding, golf and picnicking. Local attractions include the Da Yoopers Tourist Trap and the US National Ski Hall of Fame.

Don't miss out on the Michigan Iron Industry Museum, or a tour of Northern Michigan University. Ishpeming also hosts a variety of year round events including the Art Faire and Renaissance Festival, the UP 200 Sled Day Race and the Noquemanon Ski Race. Ishpeming is almost directly north of Escanaba.
