Lansing

Central Michigan is home to the Capital City, a thriving community of schools, businesses and manufacturing. Lansing, also known as the Heart of Michigan, is the only state capital in the United States that is not the location of the state's county seat.

Regardless, Lansing remains the fifth-largest city in the state of Michigan. While in downtown Lansing, visit the State Capitol building to see the beautiful rotunda and the eight muses on display, that were painted in 1886.

This Mid-Michigan city is home to the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, the largest law school in the country and fully accredited by the American Bar Association. The east side of Lansing is home to Michigan State University, a member of the Big Ten Conference.
